How Our Love Story Led to Capturing Yours

Lifestyle

Before we were wedding photographers, we were Will & Hannah; a couple who loved adventuring, being foodies, and finding ways to preserve our own special memories. Will was working in the construction field at the time and Hannah was a Pre-K teacher. When my (Hannah’s) best friend got engaged she reached out and asked me to capture their engagement photos, I had always loved photography from the time I was 13 years old. Of course, I said yes! Will and I were newly engaged, so of course we went together with a couple of our close friends to capture their engagement photos. After exploring Sugar Pine Lake all during golden hour, Will asked me to try out taking some photos. Guess what, they LOVED his photos. They actually chose some of his photos when creating their Save the Dates. For some time I asked Will if he would ever consider doing photography as a business with me. That night, on the car ride home in the backseat of our friends’ car he said “you know what? let’s try it!” That is the little beginning of our photography business story, after we started our own love story years before. Here’s a peak at a few of those photos:

Our Own Love Story

We met on Bumble, then on Tinder, finally after a few weeks of chatting we went on our first date. We went to Cattlemen’s and the Drive In Theater for our very first outing. On our second date, Will pulled out his acoustic guitar and sang for me in the back of his 1998 Ford Explorer (Eddie Bauer Edition). It was then that I got to see first hand what a talented and creative guy I was getting to know. Early on in our relationship, creativity played a strong role with Will’s musical talents and Hannah’s homemade gifts. For the next few years we spent time going on day trips to cities we had never visited, spending hours on the couch watching Smallville, and camping under starry nights. The biggest thing that drew me to Will was his love for music and the way he could write songs. On a beautiful Summer day in July we traveled to Yosemite Valley, Will played a song he had written for me, got down on one knee and proceeded to rip a DUCT-TAPED ring box from under his pants on his ankle, and proposed. Will knew I would be checking out his pocket to see if there was a ring in it so he decided to tape it to his ankle. Will had set up my camera to film the whole song and proposal and I was able to create some photos from the frames of that video.

Fast forward to May of 2022, we got married. The best part of our day was having all our extended family and friends come together to celebrate us, many of which we had not seen in years. Seeing those people from all different walks of life on the dance floor together with us felt like the perfect start to our union, just as we know so many of our wedding couples look forward to. Only a few months after that is when we applied for our business license for photography and started putting ourselves out there on everything from social media, our very first website, and eventually booking our first ever wedding! Years later, here we are, with our twin girls, telling wonderful couples’ love stories for a living.

The Ingle Co. Way

We value our couples first and foremost. We value the time, thought, and investment they put into their wedding experience. We want our couples to be able to enjoy their time with their friends and family who usually traveled some distance to be at their wedding, we make sure to give you the most amount of time possible by spending less time on posed photos and focusing more on genuine, candid moments. We also know all the thought on the little details of your wedding day. We are sure to notice those little details and capture them in our photographs, everything from your signature drinks to the cuff links your dad gave you to wear before walking down the aisle. We know that weddings are a huge investment for our couples and we honor that by not only giving you a wonderful and relaxed experience but by giving you beautiful and timeless images to look back on for all the years ahead. We want your album to be a keepsake for you and your family.

One thing our couples often day to us is that we make their day feel stress free while still delivering stunning images. We create a detailed photography timeline for each of our couples so their day can feel as stress free as possible, while ensuring we capture all the moments, big and small. We create images that are true to color while also still being romantic and dreamy. The biggest thing that sets us apart is that we want you to remember your day for how it truly felt and not just posed moments that do not feel like your most genuine selves. P.S. we will give you a couple day-of sneak peek photos in polaroid form!

Beyond the Lens

When we are not photographing weddings, we love spending time with our twin girls, camping, and spending time with friends and family! Here are some fun facts about us:

  • Our dream getaway would be exploring the vast landscapes of New Zealand.
  • Will can make the perfect campfire; Hannah can never resist s’mores.
  • We’ve photographed weddings all over Northern California, with some dream destination locations being Italy or Hawaii being added to the list.

Let’s Tell Your Story

Let us be your storytellers on your wedding day! We love getting to know our couples over some coffee and learn all about what is most important to you on your wedding day. We would love to preserve it for you in a way that feels natural and effortless!
